For our second Ramadan Iftar Party, the SSiB decided to go to Sheffield...

On this occasion, we hosted the Dish Party at Hallam Community Centre, and around 100 of our Members, friends, and supporters attended.

The atmosphere was, as usual, jovial and relaxed, and the company was, as always, friendly and welcoming. It came as no surprise that the food on offer was simply exquisite!..

We were particularly delighted to have the company of some distinguished guests, including Dr and Mrs Sobhi Adamo, who live in Sheffield. We also had the pleasure of welcoming Dr Abdul Muhsin Ayoubi, who was in the UK visiting his son Nasser and his Family. We were truly pleased to see that our guests have had an lovely time.

Once the Members and Guests have enjoyed the fantastic feast of savoury dishes, it was time for some sweets. And as expected, the sweets and deserts were of a quality that at least matched that of the savoury dishes. At that point, everybody joined Summer and Nasser in wishing their eldest son Sammy a very Happy Birthday!... To our delight, we were able to welcome some new Members, who decided to join the SSiB once they had a taste of what our events have to offer!..

The celebrations went on till midnight, and we all got the news that Eid Al-Fitr was going to be next day... That was the icing on the cake, and good wishes were exchanged, and Eid salutations were merrily spreading around...
