The Executive Council

Meet Our Team

President: Ayman Jundi The Society's President is the Officer in charge of the official functions in the Society, such as chairing the Executive Council meetings and Annual General Meetings. The President is also in charge of overseeing the execution of the Society's policies and resolutions, and of the Society's official correspondence.

Vice-President: Fawzi Haffar As well as supporting the President and assuming his/her roles in his/her absence, the Vice-President oversees the arrangements for the various social activities, and the various scheduled and extraordinary meetings.

Secretary: Bachar Hakim The role of the Secretary involves co-ordinating the various meetings, setting the agenda, taking official minutes, and dealing with official correspondence, along with the President. The Secretary is also in charge of calling for and coordinating the Executive Council elections.

Treasurer: Mounir Hakmi The Treasurer is in charge of all the financial affairs of the Society, including managing the Society's Business Account, and preparing the Society's financial report and annual budget.

Membership Officer: Faten Bakleh The role of the Membership Officer includes setting up and maintaining the Society's Membership database, sending reminders for renewal of Membership, and generally taking care of all membership matters.

Activities and Social Affairs Officer: Heba Abu-Kalam Activities and Social Affairs Officers are in charge of organising and promoting social and cultural activities, and creating links and joint social events with other similar Societies and Associations.

Activities and Social Affairs Officer: Lena Amir Baurak Activities and Social Affairs Officers are in charge of organising and promoting social and cultural activities, and creating links and joint social events with other similar Societies and Associations.

Activities and Social Affairs Officer: Samera Tayan Activities and Social Affairs Officers are in charge of organising and promoting social and cultural activities, and creating links and joint social events with other similar Societies and Associations.

Media and Communications Officer: Summer Mouallem The Media and Communications Officer is responsible for editing and publishing the Society's Newsletter, and promoting the Society in local and national media.
Student and Young Members Officer: Rolla Rostam The Student and young Members Officer is in charge of promoting the Society and its vision amongst the youths of the Syrian Community in Britain, coordinating youth-related events, and representing the Society at local and national student events.
